Managing Director

Job Description:

1. Responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational efficiency, and financial performance of the company.
2. Involves leading the company, ensuring sustainable growth, optimizing value-added services, and maintaining high-quality standards while fostering a culture of innovation and safety.
3. Develop and execute the company’s business strategies to attain the goals of the board and shareholders.
4. Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities.
5. Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are always followed.
6. Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners, and authorities.
7. Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments, and other business ventures.
8. Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
9. Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.
10. Any other duties as and when assigned by the board.

Job Requirements:

1. Academic Qualification: Tertiary education - BSc/BA in business administration, Engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA will be preferred.
2. Skills & Knowledge:
1. Proven experience as Managing Director or other managerial position.
2. Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans.
3. Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company.
4. Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance.
5. Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices.
6. Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
7. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
8. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
3. Experience: Min. 15 years relevant experience in a similar field of work.
