Job description

Purpose & Overall Relevance For The Organization

To achieve profitable and sustainable market growth within assigned Business Accounts and Key Accounts, while aligning with adidas brand image & commercial strategy and ensuring target achievement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Functional:
    1. To establish strong relationships with key customer’s decision-makers and make the Company their preferred partners.
    2. To effectively apply sales strategies, policies, and best practices to grow assigned accounts and business segments.
    3. To ensure a win-win when negotiating trade term for both adidas and customers.
    4. To ensure reliable and efficient supply of products to customers. Effectively respond to customer’s needs & requests while minimizing the customer complaints.
    5. To pursue additional business opportunities and apply a strategic mid-long term approach within the accounts.
    6. To internally represent the assigned field and key account towards all functions and vice versa. Manage all interfaces by frequently addressing the main account requirements across functions and proactively coordinating/facilitating meetings with other functions and accounts.
    7. To develop the business and key accounts strategies, ensuring quarterly updates of strategic account initiatives, presenting strategic initiatives for local management team, and establishing a regular account visit schedule.
    8. To sell-in and agree on sell-through support, proactively leading the alignment of the sell-in/sell-out process across internal functions.
    9. To continue monitoring the sell-through and the order book as well as reliable and cost-efficient supply for the business and key accounts by proactively facilitating meeting/business reviews with the designated operations team and Customer Service.
    10. To conduct and share sell-through information from the accounts.
    11. To have experience in leading a team member or have exposure to onboarding new team members, coaching team members on account management tasks and responsibilities.
    12. To have experience in e-commerce operations/digital merchandising as the future marketplace of consumers is an advantage.
  2. Controlling:
    1. To measure progress on assigned account’s KPIs.
    2. To monitor and report the market trends and competitors in the area.
    3. To provide realistic business plans and forecasts that are aligned with the company’s longer-range plan.

Key Relationships

  1. External - Key Account buyers and marketing team; Business account management, B2B.
  2. Internal – OMNI channel marketing; Brand marketing, Visual Merchandising.

Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  1. Professional Background/Experience:
    1. Functional: Preferably 5 years in Sales or KA Management.
    2. Industry: Apparel/ fashion/ Footwear or FMCG.
    3. Leadership: Good leadership skill.
    4. Exposure: Sports, marketing, account management, merchandising.
  2. Education:
    1. University degree in Business with sales/commercial focus.
  3. IT:
    1. Outlook: Basic.
    2. Word: Advanced.
    3. Excel: Advanced.
    4. Powerpoint: Advanced.
  4. Language Skills:
    1. English: Advanced.
    2. Local Language: Fluent.
