Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.
Job Duties and Responsibility:
Visual Merchandising(50%)
Product/Process
Manage Store VM Opex for VM displays , props and activations and Store renovations Capex
Able to write requirements for Visual merchandising / Design tender specifications and undertake the procurement process
Set visual merchandising guidelines to best portray Mandai and ensure that the visual merchandising guidelines are strongly adhered to.
Involved in the production and implementation of retail pop-up stores, out of park retail activations and events / campaigns.
Provide art direction for product photography Ecommerce usage
Provide Graphic design support for instore VM communications and signage.
Assist in any ad-hoc project
People
Inspire and work closely with the frontline team to ensure all retail outlets are well displayed and new products launches are well merchandised
Work closely with Retail Design & Marketing team on store openings, marketing events, collateral productions.
Manage external & internal vendors on VM productions and ensure that quality of merchandise satisfy standards.
Lead in-store VM leads, Interns and an Executive (if assigned) to execute VM changes and store set up
Store Development(50%)
Able to understand and read store plans and drawings.
Identify and give suggestions of the best vendor to award, base on pass work / projects done before
Plan in-park store renovations / improvements and revitalisation for each FY and better managing CAPEX with projects planned
Support internal team on new store design, build and display and work on existing store refresh or renovations work
Work with procurement for SESAMI upload
Support out of park pop up store set up and counters
Able to write requirements for building tender specifications.
Ensure 50% or more of new store projects to be from old store upcycled or repurposed fixtures and that at least 1 bay / wall is utilised for sustainability projects
Has interior design or facility management experience would be an advantage
Job Requirements:
Minimum Diploma in Visual Merchandising.
Experience in visual merchandising, visual communications, graphic design, fashion merchandising, store planning, interior design would be preferred.
Preferably at least 2-3 years working in Retail standalone brands and has undertaken shop renovation or refresh projects
Positive, able to multi-task and has good planning ability
Open minded and able to adapt fast
Able to work with different internal stake holders and also internal teams to pull all to work together
Good with your hands and has a keen eye for details
A great visual story teller, able to articulate idea
