As the Finance Transformation Senior Manager/Manager, you will play a critical role to support the large-scale finance transformation program. This role requires strong collaboration with a diverse group of stakeholders and thought leadership to drive strategic initiatives that reshape and optimize our finance function.
You will play a hands-on role in the implementation of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems, advancing automation efforts, and enhancing data governance. Strong project management skills, a deep understanding of FP&A and F&A operations, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential for success in this position.
Make an Impact by:
Finance Systems:
- Play a key role in the EPM implementation program and collaborate with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior finance leaders and business users to ensure their requirements are met.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather business requirements, align objectives, and confirm the scope of the EPM solution.
- Manage communication with IT, finance, and business users to ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems.
- Lead the design of financial processes within the EPM system, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure alignment of the EPM solution with the company’s financial operating model and strategic objectives.
- Work with the IT team to integrate EPM tools with other enterprise systems, such as ERP, data warehouses, and BI tools.
- Deliver scalable specialist subject matter expertise that can be leveraged across the teams. Lead a knowledge-based advisory, communication, and process execution of Specialist systems.
- Support in the development and execution of a change management strategy to facilitate user adoption.
- Provide training to finance teams and end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize the new system.
- Support post-go-live support, including system troubleshooting, performance tuning, and user feedback collection.
Finance Process Improvement:
- The Senior Manager/Manager, Finance Transformation will develop a consistent approach to finance process improvement across the Singtel Group and accelerate the transformation/transition to the new mode of operation. This includes:
- Developing the Group finance process improvement strategy.
- Leveraging recent Corporate Finance process improvement experience.
- Developing the Group transformation IP in process improvement outcomes.
- Leading the scoping of new process improvement opportunities with Finance Vice Presidents and their direct report.
- Planning and management of all process improvement initiatives.
Strategic Program Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for finance transformation, aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Provide thought leadership and guidance to senior leadership on best practices and emerging trends in finance transformation.
- Define program goals, deliverables, and success metrics to track progress and ensure program objectives are met.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including finance, operations, IT, and other relevant departments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements, priorities, and pain points, and translate them into actionable transformation initiatives.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and meetings to drive consensus, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment on program goals and deliverables.
Program Execution and Delivery:
- Lead the end-to-end execution of the finance transformation program, including project planning, resource allocation, budget management, and risk mitigation.
- Monitor program progress and proactively address any issues or roadblocks that may impact the timely delivery of program objectives.
- Oversee the implementation of process improvements, technology solutions, and organizational changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
Change Management and Communication:
- Develop and implement change management strategies to drive adoption and minimize resistance to the finance transformation program.
- Communicate program updates, milestones, and benefits to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, ensuring a clear understanding of the program's impact and value.
- Provide guidance and support to the finance team and other stakeholders throughout the transformation journey, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Skills for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Over 10 years of experience in financial and commercial management within large corporate organizations, focusing on driving transformation initiatives and optimizing financial operations.
- Proven expertise in operational finance functions, including reporting, forecasting, strategy development, executive decision-making, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Strong resource allocation skills to effectively manage complex and competing priorities within tight deadlines.
- Leadership in coaching and managing senior finance specialists with diverse technical expertise.
- Experience thriving in dynamic, competitive environments, with the ability to adapt to constant change while contributing to the growth strategy of the Singtel Group.
- Extensive knowledge of finance operations, financial systems, process improvements, and change management.
- Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, utilizing a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong project management skills, including task prioritization, managing competing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
