Summary:

The incumbent will participate in the development team in planning and coordinating with respective Stakeholders, working closely with consultants to ensure that the Hospital/entity’s operational requirements and efficiencies are in line with the Group’s overall strategic direction.

The incumbent shall lead in technical coordination meetings, stakeholder review sessions, as well as project alignment processes to streamline and implement processes and protocols for the timely delivery of the hospital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Take ownership of the design and medical planning discussions for Clinical departments and facilitate all Users workgroup sessions. A key aspect is to guide Users, who may not be as familiar with the design and planning of facilities, and facilitate useful and productive discussions during these sessions.
  2. Lead/assist in leading, planning, organizing, and coordinating architectural, medical planners, interior design, and MEP requirements and discussions for the hospital. This holistic scope encompasses not only infrastructural aspects but also requires cross-coordination with medical equipment and facilities maintenance.
  3. Work closely with Stakeholders, Consultants, and Users to develop Design Brief, Design Options, complete with Design Solutions that meet Users’ requirements.
  4. Coordinate, manage, and review Users’ requirements to ensure that Users’ comments are duly captured and resolved, obtaining approvals for design schemes including necessary sign-offs for milestone documents and reports, and ensuring that records of discussions are accurately captured.
  5. Coordinate between Stakeholders, Users, and Consultants to ensure that information is gathered and transferred to all parties in a timely manner to meet overall project timelines.
  6. Support and involve in budgetary planning and control discussions to ensure that proposed Designs stay within time and approved budget.
  7. Work closely with project team members on the following:
  8. Administrate the project in a structured and compliant manner.
  9. Ensure that processes are aligned with prevailing cluster and institution policies, and documentation is robust and comprehensive.
  10. Coordinate and share information.
  11. Keep abreast of healthcare planning topics and issues to support hospital development in the desired direction.
  12. Perform secretariat roles and responsibilities.
  13. Any other duties assigned for hospital development.

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Engineering, Civil & Structural Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
  2. At least 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably with project management experience.
  3. Candidates with a healthcare background are highly preferred.
  4. Strong leadership qualities and strategic planning capabilities.
  5. Good analytical and project management skills.
  6. Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate and manage various Stakeholders.
  7. Good time management on tasks allocated, resourceful, self-motivated, and driven with the ability to multitask.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
