Location/Division Specific Information
Position is based in Singapore, Japan, Korea, or China. Requires up to 50% travelling across the Region.

At Thermo Fisher Asia Pacific, we are seeking an experienced pharma business development manager to help our customers rapidly accelerate drug discovery and optimize drug development. A Day in the Life:

  1. Establish and maintain relationships with key partners at scientific and leadership levels in Pharma targeting advanced analytical solution needs and drug discovery.
  2. Responsible for proper deployment and execution of the defined AOP’s.
  3. Provide technical sales strategy and technical guidance to the sales force and act as lead contact point between the Life Science Business Unit, Sales, Applications teams, and Regional Leadership.

Keys to Success:

  1. Use strategy and data-driven approaches to identify new accounts and accelerate our business using technical and Return on Investment value propositions.
  2. Support the full sales cycle for Thermo Fisher LS workflow solutions, including making initial technical contact, providing technical expertise through sales presentations, demonstration support, leading internal workshops and marketing events.
  3. Work with Asia Business Development Manager, Sales Director, and Account Managers, to build Asia Territory Win Sales Strategies to grow pipeline and order book.

Education:

  1. MS or PhD in Life Science. Post Doc in Structural Biology a plus.
  2. MBA a plus.

Experience:

  1. Experience working in Drug Discovery for Pharma or in Research is desirable.
  2. Candidates that have a proven track record in selling high-end analytical instruments and developing important strategic accounts in pharma will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  1. Strong Technical Background in higher-end analytical techniques in protein research. Electron Microscopy, Imaging, or Diffraction a plus.
  2. Good English and interpersonal skills and comfortable building strong partnerships with scientific leads, department heads, and senior leaders in the industry.
