The opportunity:

Sephora seeks to appoint a Regional Finance Business Partner (for SEA Oceania), reporting to the Regional Finance Director. The Finance Business Partner will be a key advisor to the leadership team across the region, ensuring timely and accurate financial information is provided for strong control and sound decisions on business activities. In this role, he/she will serve as a strategic finance business partner to various regional functions within our organization (especially across Marketing, E-Commerce, Technology and our Franchise business). He/She will play a critical role in driving financial performance, providing insights, and supporting decision-making processes to optimise business outcomes.

In this role we expect you to…

  • Provide relevant, timely and accurate financial information to support management and regional finance team in key responsibility areas in controlling, including variance analysis of actual vs forecasts, tracking of capital expenditure against investment targets and ad hoc cost analysis.
  • Coordinate with business teams on budget cycle, strategic plan, internal process deadlines and reporting schedules and follow up on deliverables in a matrix organisation.
  • Provide financial insights and scenario analysis to support decision-making processes and drive business growth. Offer strategic financial advice and support to regional leadership team across business/ commercial functions.
  • Communicate business performance.
  • Direct and coordinate the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to provide accurate financial insights to senior management.
  • Recommend finance solutions to improve business models, reduce risk, and drive efficiency.
  • Create financial models to evaluate profitability, cost-effectiveness, and ROI.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, and model and visualize them.
  • Investigate variances: help departments improve their budgeting process.
  • Explore how business models or existing implementations impact business performance, for the functions he/she is supporting, both short and long term business goals.
  • Propose improvement to processes and reporting, pilot tools to optimize business whenever necessary or relevant. This includes continuous improvement and development of existing and/or new systems within the organisation.

We would love to hear from you if you have…

  • At least 8 years of professional experience with solid accounting, finance management, FP&A background, preferably from the retail or FMCG industry.
  • Prior experience in financial controlling is a plus.
  • Regional experience is a plus.
  • Experience in SAP, Jedox and/or other performance management software.
  • Dynamism, Energy and Drive to Succeed, and Proactive in driving results, with commercial acumen.
  • Ability to learn quickly, grasp key business drivers and communicate in a commercially focused manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and good organization skills.
  • Strong team spirit, able to work with colleagues of diverse background.
  • Excellent communication skills, being able to communicate & influence across levels and functions.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
