About Temasek Shophouse:

Launched in June 2019, Temasek Shophouse is a social impact hub in the heart of Singapore and a pivotal part of Temasek Trust’s philanthropic strategy. It aims to help the social impact ecosystem in Singapore and beyond to flourish. TSH comprises event and gallery spaces for engagement with members of the public to raise awareness for social and environmental issues and solutions. It has supported over 170 events and engaged over 79,000 people since its launch.

We are looking for a Manager – Operations and Leasing, for Temasek Shophouse who will be supporting the team in ensuring the smooth operations of Temasek Shophouse in areas such as workspace, facilities and events management. The goal is to ensure all activities can be carried out efficiently and effectively in order for Temasek Shophouse to be enjoyed both as a public space as well as an office space for employees and external co-workers.

Job Description

Designation: Manager, Operations and Leasing

Duties & Responsibilities

Operations Management

  1. Assist in logistics and setup for the move back to Temasek Shophouse.
  2. Assist with the taking over from main contractor on all building equipment, conduct thorough defect checks, and ensure all necessary rectifications are completed before occupancy.
  3. Maintain records of fixed assets, including acquisitions and disposals.
  4. Support the team in issuing and managing service contract proposals and subsequent awards.
  5. Track and coordinate statutory building licenses, permits, and certifications.
  6. Supervise service vendors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  7. Address facilities-related issues by liaising with service vendors and responding to user feedback.
  8. Source quotations, conduct comparative analyses, and process approvals for repair and maintenance work.
  9. Support event logistics in coordination with service vendors.

Sustainability & Certification Management

  1. Track and maintain records of sustainability initiatives at Temasek Shophouse.
  2. Monitor and ensure compliance with sustainability certifications such as Green Mark, LEED, True Waste, WELL and other relevant building certifications.
  3. Work with service vendors and internal teams to implement sustainability best practices.
  4. Collect and analyze data on energy usage, water consumption, and waste management to support sustainability reporting.
  5. Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance sustainability efforts within the premises.

Leasing, Finance & Administrative Support

  1. Build rapport and good relations with internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Coordinate with the relevant teams and departments for smooth handover of leased spaces to tenants.
  3. Track and manage office pantry supplies.
  4. Assist with office meeting rooms management for internal stakeholders.
  5. Monitor expenditures against the approved budget throughout the fiscal year.
  6. Process recurring and ad-hoc service payments with the finance department.
  7. Assist in CAPEX and OPEX budget planning for the fiscal year.
  8. Provide operational and leasing support as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Degree in Building and Facilities Management or Real-Estate Development or Sustainability Management related fields.
  2. Preferably less than 5 years of working experience; fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
  3. Well verbal and written communication skills to work with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Team player with strong interpersonal skills and eagerness to support the team in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Adaptable in working operationally across different functions.
  6. Proficient computer skills such as using Microsoft Office applications.
  7. Ability to work independently and multitask that is process oriented.
