Manager, Investment Banking

Reporting to the Head of Investment Banking, you will be involved in the origination of transactions, execution and underwriting and placement of activities, including both debt and equity capital markets.

You will undertake preliminary assessment of IPO and/or debt issuance feasibility of potential clients. You will prepare marketing presentation materials, Investment Banking Committee (IBC) papers to seek name clearance before seeking the mandate from the client. You will undertake site visits and meet with clients and prepare the mandate letters for execution.

You will prepare the kick-off kit, review draft prospectuses, liaise with other professionals involved in the transaction, as well as prepare submission documents to Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX-ST). You will liaise with SGX to review officers and attend meetings with the MAS on specific transactions, where required.

You will arrange for clients to meet with potential institutional investors at closed-door sessions during book-building, and will liaise with solicitors, company and other financial institutions in the preparation of underwriting and placement agreements, including sub-underwriting or sub-placement agreement. You will check to ensure that the final placee list numbers tally with issue parameters and will monitor the subscription levels and keep the IBC members informed.

Your duties and responsibilities shall be carried out subject to your appropriate registration with the MAS pursuant to the Securities and Futures Act (Cap 289).

Pre-requisites

• Degree majoring in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline
• Possess 3 – 5 years of debt capital markets, corporate finance and/or merger & acquisition (M&A) experience
• Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese is an added advantage
• Highly committed team player with a positive attitude
• Able to travel at short notice
