Job description

Reporting to the Deputy Director of HPIO, you will be responsible for driving and supporting continuous improvement and innovation initiatives to improve quality of care, patient safety, productivity and experience of both patients and employees in SACH and community care.

Requirements:

  1. A degree in Business / Industrial Design / Engineering / Medicine / Nursing / Pharmaceutical Science
  2. Certified Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a must for candidates without healthcare experience
  3. At least 5 years of relevant work experience in healthcare
  4. Experience in facilitating workshops and conducting training
  5. Experience in applying Design Thinking framework and other human-centric design techniques, including persona development, jobs-to-be-done, crafting of insights, journey mapping, rapid prototyping and the building of wireframes, clickable or physical prototypes is highly preferred
  6. Experience in design and marketing will be an added advantage
  7. Excellent planning, analytical, problem solving and communication skills are essential
  8. Highly self-motivated and driven, possessing a positive can-do attitude and the perseverance to overcome challenges

Responsibilities:

  1. Support SACH leadership in developing, planning and implementing continuous improvement and innovation programmes, adhering to the National Standards of Healthcare Work
  2. Develop, conduct and customize training and hands-on application programmes in Lean Thinking, RCA and Design Thinking methodologies
  3. Facilitate events, projects and workshops, providing advice on Rapid Improvement (RIE), Process Preparation (2P) and 6S
  4. Provide guidance to a pool of in-house trained facilitators
  5. Drive and support innovation and digitalization efforts
  6. Introduce and administer SACH Quality Improvement Project awards
  7. Organize the annual SAMH Quality & Safety Festival
  8. Coordinate MOH, AIC or RH (CGH) initiated surveys (e.g. Patient Safety Culture Survey, Patient Experience Survey), analyze survey data and follow-up with improvement efforts
  9. Collaborate with external organizations for quality improvement efforts such as organizing Quality Conferences and cross institutional improvement projects
  10. Any other tasks as assigned by HOD
