Role and Responsibilities
- Work closely with Local Business Units and Group Health team members to understand their specific data needs and deliver relevant and impactful analyses to support departmental and organisational goals principally in the areas of sales enablement, customer engagement, connected care, fraud waste and abuse, provider management, underwriting, claims, pricing and product development.
- Source, prepare and validate data to ensure accuracy, integrity and fit for purpose.
- Employ statistical and analytical methods to scrutinize data sets. Identify significant trends, patterns, and relationships that can inform business strategy and decisions.
- Create clear and concise reports and visualizations that summarize findings and communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Assist with other ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.
Qualifications and Requisite Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, data science, or a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in either health experience analysis, pricing, product development, or data analytics in the health insurance industry.
- Hands-on experience in data preparation, analysis and presentation of results.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or SQL for querying databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
