Manager - Engineering & Automation (Warehouse Automation/ 3PL)

Responsibilities:

• Assist and direct the execution of assigned tasks/projects within the Engineering and Automation Team to promote business improvements and renewals.
  Lead and drive optimal design processes efficiently for assigned warehousing projects within Asia Pacific Region which includes the planning, risk assessment, data analysis, material flow, determination of optimal solution concept, detailed solution design, manage automation vendor quotation and investment analysis.
  Comply with Standard Work Framework for Engineering & Automation APAC and promote the work practice, to ensure efficient engineering & automation simulation processes and aligned to the key steps and milestones represented in CLDM.
• Collaborate with the Engineering and Automation leadership to guarantee that the offerings and templates are appropriately implemented to optimize business success for these goods and particular verticals.
• Utilize the EA Network's finest engineering and automation methods and swiftly reproduce them.
• Determine procedures and workflows, assign roles, and link system flows to actual material flows by analyzing comprehensive data. Then, make tactical recommendations.
• Utilize your understanding of industrial and/or process engineering, automation, ergonomics, business procedures, and requirements to plan and create logistics activities by analyzing contractual commitments, specifications, performance, and other data.
• Examine the current arrangement and, if necessary, remodel the warehouse while taking the net impact into account.
• Manage and develop reengineered solutions for current clients, including operations-nominated projects and tasks, and oversee contract renewals through scheduling.
• To increase productivity on operations tasks, determine whether it is feasible to use and expand the usage of automation, robotics, and technologies on relevant processes or setups.
• Support for new company and expansion prospects that need for automation through technological inspection.
• Assistance in creating and implementing training programs, as well as mentoring experienced junior resources in the nation in the fields of automation and industrial engineering, if needed, depending on the demands of the participants.
• Serve as a focal point for automation and engineering.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelors’ degree, in Industrial Engineering / Logistics Engineering / Automation & Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience in modern warehouse and distribution, supply chain design (automation and other modern warehousing innovation (robotics, digitalization) is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience of solution design/automation/process engineering in the logistics and supply chain industry.
• Solid analytical skills with good commercial and technical understanding of Contract Logistics and Warehousing.
• Knowledge on operative IT systems/WMS and automation implementation or worked with automated logistics systems will be added advantage.
• Experience in VSM and/or Six Sigma is a plus.
