What the role is:
Part of the Digital Readiness Cluster in IMDA, the Digital Literacy & Wellness Division seeks to equip Singaporeans with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to navigate the digital space safely. You will be part of a dynamic team which develops curriculum and curates content and partnerships to prepare Singaporeans to be future ready in the digital world.

We are seeking a strategic and resourceful officer to push out Public Education resources and initiatives on Online Safety. This role requires strong research skills into online safety, and the ability to create impactful and engaging resources that help individuals keep digitally safe.

Responsibilities

  • Research, monitor and analyse emerging online safety areas.
  • Create and curate engaging educational materials (e.g., toolkits, infographics, videos) to educate the public, across different demographics, on online safety.
  • Develop and implement public education strategies that simplify complex online safety issues and legislation for easy public understanding.
  • Establish and manage partnerships with stakeholders and partners to enhance outreach efforts.
  • Collect and analyse data to evaluate the effectiveness of public education initiatives and refine strategies accordingly.

Requirements

  • Background in Communications, Public Policy, Education, Digital Safety, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience (at least 5-7 years) in curriculum and content development experience, with the ability to create user-friendly educational materials, preferably in public education campaigns, digital literacy or online safety and regulations advocacy.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to track and synthesize emerging online threats and legislative developments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for public understanding.
  • Strong partnership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in structuring and optimizing content for digital platforms and measuring engagement and impact will be an advantage.
  • A self-starter who is highly driven, adaptable, and able to work both independently and in teams.
