The opportunity:

Manager, Regional Category Management - Southeast Asia Oceania

Our merchandising team is constantly building brands, starting trends, and developing assortment across product categories. These experts roll up their sleeves and advise our brands on the best way to bring our clients what they crave—and what they will be craving soon. Our product pipeline is so robust and exciting that many of the items that will be most in-demand in our stores next year don’t even exist yet. And our merchants don’t stop at selection—they bring the assortment to life through breakthrough curation and storytelling across our stores and digital properties.

The Regional Merchandising Category team’s vision is to:

  1. Bring to life a curated assortment for customers to find what they love and discover what they will love next.
  2. Be Brand’s favorite retail partner to co-create a unique and authentic beauty experience.

You will be working alongside Regional & Country Category & Merchandising, Supply Chain, Marketing, Training, Finance, Legal, Onsite teams internally and Brand Partners externally. This role will be reporting to the Category Management Director of the Regional Team.

Brand Management

  1. Trading terms negotiation and review.
  2. Building and maintaining strong relationships with brands and negotiating terms. Collaborating on exclusive product launches or promotions.
  3. Coordination and maintenance of brand agreement sign off & subsequent renewals.
  4. Develop the annual brand plan including product launch calendar and sales targets.
  5. Ensure a relevant (productive) assortment for each brand in accordance to the set linear productivity measure for the category.

Brand/Product Launch Plans

  1. Working closely with brands and internal stakeholders on planning, coordination & execution of launch plan for assigned brands – Annual launch plan and new listing process.
  2. Coordinate and approve timely new sell-in process: data validation & submission.
  3. Partnering with Brands on pricing and promotion strategy across the region to maximise sales and profitability.
  4. Utilizing data analytics to assess the performance of overall brand health and new launches. Making data-driven decisions to optimize the product assortment and enhance overall sales.
  5. Assortment Planning: Collaborating with brands to determine the product assortment for OMNI-channel, considering customer preferences, market trends, and brand positioning.

Portfolio Management

  1. Monitor and measure assigned brands performance against category sales and profitability benchmark.
  2. Conduct half-yearly rationalisation of brands and assortment.
  3. Working closely with brands and internal stakeholders to develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products.

Stock Management

  1. Work with Supply Chain to meet the company’s stockholding KPI.
  2. Review SOH with supply chain and propose action plans for SKUs with high stock holding and discontinued SKUs.
  3. Monitoring and optimising inventory levels to ensure that products are adequately stocked, minimising overstock or stockouts by working closely with demand planners.

SEA Category Performance Tracking & Reporting

  1. Own brand portfolio, track omni-channel category performance (by channel, markets, segments, margin, productivity, brand conversion & stocks management) vs set KPIs.
  2. Execution & implementation of programs per the category strategies as defined in budget and strategy planning under the guidance of the category lead.
  3. Monitoring & identification of new trends, new brands, merchandising programs and ad-hoc strategies to optimise category growth and performance.
  4. Tracking of sales and category reports of assigned brand within team (including brand insights by segments).

We would love to hear from you if you have…

  1. Min. 8 years Account/Brand Management experience, ideally from the beauty/fashion industry.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing.
  3. Keen interest in the beauty industry with a flair for trends and style.
  4. Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  5. Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence.
  6. Strong analytical skills and are results oriented.
  7. Demonstrate teamwork and high level of initiative.
  8. Ability to work and lead cross functionally to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  9. Excellent Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills.
