Manager, Business Development (Logistics Industry, Government)
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to penetrate the government sector.
- Identify and target potential government clients to expand the company's client base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the government sector.
- Lead sales negotiations and contract discussions with government agencies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of projects.
- Monitor government tenders and procurement opportunities.
- Prepare sales proposals, presentations, and bids.
- Stay updated on government regulations, policies, and industry trends.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
- Prepare sales reports and forecasts.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior business development team members.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the government sector.
- Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and regulations.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building government relationships.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to negotiate and close deals with government agencies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel as required.
