RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for the profitable growth and development of business through brokers
2. Maintain and develop customer relations
3. Identify and develop new products, services/new market segments
4. Ensure risks are accepted and underwritten in accordance with the Company's Risk Management and Reinsurance guidelines
5. Undertake credit control ensuring standard for debtor days are strictly adhered to
6. Provide a technical reference point for queries
7. Achieve premium growth and profit targets
8. Development of balanced portfolio of business from Broker accounts
9. Ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness in work processes within the department
10. Provide guidance and training for staff
11. Provide training for staff & team building
12. Undertake any other duties as may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Tertiary qualification and/or professional insurance qualifications
2. Minimum Certificate in General Insurance

OTHER INFORMATION

1. Operational experience in sales and servicing of business through insurance brokers
2. Business development and relationship building
3. Ability to guide and lead staff
4. Marketing & Presentation Skills
5. Portfolio Management
6. Knowledge of Underwriting and Singapore General Insurance market
