MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Oversees, directs, and manages programs to maintain the medical equipment, electronics system, and telephony systems.

  2. Plans and implements high-quality and cost-effective equipment management and maintenance programs in support of the Hospital's clinical programs.

  3. Responsible for providing technical expertise for planning and evaluating new medical equipment technologies and systems.

  4. Overall responsibility for the operations and maintenance of the various departments. Acts as a resource person to guide in the investigation and difficult problem-solving issues, including failure analysis and incident investigation.

  5. Handles system management matters including contracts, licensing, insurances and claims, physical capital assets, repair and maintenance, and end-of-life deliverables. Represents TTSH in liaising with authorities and external parties.

  6. Plans, directs, and manages cost management, risks, and avoidance measures, including but not limited to IT cybersecurity risk and compliance.

  7. Plans and manages continuous improvement and special projects to provide better service and/or reduce costs.

  8. Prepares and manages budget, oversees the processing of invoices/purchases, negotiation of service level agreements, and other measures to support hospital operations.

  9. Recruitment, management, and development of staff through training, coaching, and performance management to achieve high levels of technical/organizational skills.

  10. Manages and motivates staff and is responsible for their career planning and professional development.

  11. Ensures compliance with the hospital's quality management systems.

  12. Represents TTSH in hospital or cluster committees including Technology Assessment, Cyber Defence, and other committees.

  13. Manages vendor relationships in a timely, professional, and cost-effective manner.

  14. Oversees the design and work requirements for new systems related capital projects, expense projects, and grant-funded projects.

  15. Assists the Director with ongoing operations of the hospital.

EDUCATION: Bachelor Degree (Engineering)

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10 to 20 years of good experience working in the operations and maintenance of large Healthcare Facilities of a similar capacity.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational and influencing skills.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience at Management level.
