Manager, Bid Finance

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bid Finance Manager to join our team at NCS. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and developing cost/pricing models, financial assessments, and commercial strategies to support high-value bid submissions. Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring financial viability, managing risk, and driving business decisions through strong financial analysis and strategic pricing structures.

This role requires a finance professional with deep expertise in corporate finance, pricing strategies, and financial modelling, coupled with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.

What will you do?

Finance Bid Review

• Review cost/pricing models and pricing assumptions prepared by the bid team.
• Assess bid financials, validate assumptions, and provide financial/risk assessments to bid approvers.
• Offer guidance on corporate finance guidelines and compliance requirements.
• Support bid teams in initiating credit checks on partners, subcontractors, and clients.
• Coach bid teams on preparing bid financial summaries, P&L, and cash flow reports.

Commercial Analysis

• Develop cost/pricing models for submission to customers and lead bid governance finance reviews.
• Analyze bid commercials to define pricing and investment strategies.
• Conduct scenario analysis ("what-if" analysis) to determine optimal pricing structures.
• Deliver cost/pricing models, pricing assumptions, and financial reports.
• Prepare P&L and cash flow projections aligned with proposed payment milestones.
• Convert cost/pricing models into client-specific pricing tables.
• Ensure pricing aligns with bid strategies, corporate margin targets, and internal approvals.
• Drive pricing structure optimization to maintain business profitability.
• Respond to customer commercial clarifications and inquiries.

Strategic Initiatives & Best Practices

• Contribute to the Bid Management Centre of Excellence, focusing on commercial processes and best practices to improve overall efficiency and financial rigor.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• At least 3 years of experience in finance roles, including corporate finance functions (FP&A, management reporting).
• Strong expertise in pricing, financial modelling, and cash flow P&L must be familiar with the finance domain.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint & Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to support multiple deals simultaneously, providing financial insights to senior decision-makers.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. (Added Advantage)
