Manager/ Assistant Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Manager/Assistant Manager to strengthen R&D collaborations between our maritime industry and academia partners.

The key responsibilities include:

• Strategy Planning: Map out latest developments, identify new emerging areas for Singapore's maritime strategic interests, develop strategies for the translation, deployment, commercialisation, and internationalisation of maritime R&D.
• Initiatives and Programmes: Plan and implement R&D programs, evaluate R&D proposals, oversee Centre of Excellence performances, and manage awarded projects and budgets.
• Engagement: Engage potential overseas research institutions, facilitate multilateral R&D engagements, partner with maritime companies, and drive technology commercialisation.

Qualification & Experience

a. Background in computer, science, and engineering fields with 3 years of relevant working experience.

b. Experience in R&D strategy formulation, technology fore-sighting / road mapping, and/or good working knowledge of the R&D landscape in Singapore.

c. Experience with grant governance and administration, strong interest in applied science and technology R&D, and research community engagement.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and grant management software.
• Good analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven planning and organisational abilities.
