Job description

Why join frog, part of Capgemini Invent?

Joining frog means you’ll be joining the “pond,” a global network of studios, each with a thriving in-person and vibrant virtual culture. frogs are curious, collaborative, and courageous, united by our passion for improving the human experience through design, while each bringing our unique and diverse skills and experiences to the table. We draw on our global reach and local knowledge to solve complex problems and design innovative, sustainable solutions that touch hearts and move markets. frogs prize humour, positivity, and community just as highly as performance and outcomes. Our culture is open, flexible, inclusive, and engaging. Working at frog means being empowered to Make Your Mark on every project, in your studio, your community—and the world at large.

What will you be doing?

As a Design Manager, you will collaborate with designers, technologists, and program managers to envision and create new products, services, and experiences. You will work across every stage of the product development lifecycle to ensure that the concepts and design decisions are sensitive to both the needs of users and our clients’ businesses. You will be especially involved at the earliest stages of projects where you conduct research to understand user needs and develop ideas for new experiences. You will formulate clear hypotheses or approaches based on ambiguous information, then later validate these hypotheses in collaboration with the frog team. You should be eager to involve clients in the design process, highly responsive to feedback, and excited to present the team’s ideas in front of executives.

You will receive warm and robust support from frog strategy leadership, but you could be the only strategist on your team. We don’t expect you to know everything on day one, but you should be comfortable working independently and able to make thoughtful decisions with limited information. This means identifying and taking the next key step of the project while simultaneously considering the broader context of the engagement, the client’s business, and the world.

What you will bring:

  • 7+ years of work experience in Business Design, CX Transformation, Product Design, Design Thinking, Facilitation, Design Research, Customer Journey Mapping, UX/UI, Process Analysis with industry experience in CPR, FS or Public Sector.
  • Good storytelling, writing, and presentation skills. You will present frog’s work to client executives and explain the thinking behind the work. You will co-facilitate workshops and manage breakout groups.
  • Experience approaching ambiguous questions and thinking from first principles.
  • Experience crafting digital and physical experience strategies and bringing them to life.
  • Experience in business development efforts with cross-disciplinary teams - crafting approaches, writing proposals, and presenting to prospective clients.
  • Experience in leading projects, managing scopes, and identifying additional opportunities within the client’s organization.
  • Strong domain knowledge in Marketing, Martech, AI, Machine Learning, Data-driven, Product Management, Digital Experiences, Agile.
  • Proficiency with contemporary design and prototyping tools and methods, e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, PPT, Keynote, Figma.
  • Knowledge in UI/UX design delivery.
  • A willingness to travel for research and client meetings.
  • Business level ability in English.

It would be a bonus if you had:

  • Experience in identifying and delivering on growth opportunities and bringing products or services to market.
  • Financial analysis and business case development skills.
  • The ability to prepare compelling presentations in Keynote and PowerPoint.
  • A degree (or work experience) in business, entrepreneurship, finance, research, engineering, social work, anthropology, human-computer interaction, or liberal arts.
  • Hands-on research expertise, from ethnographic and other qualitative research methods to quantitative research skills including survey design and data analysis.
  • An interest in global trends, from culture to people and business to climate, and how that impacts our world.
  • Experience with SPSS or other statistical software.
  • Experience working in a creative environment with designers, and an interest in human-centered design (sometimes called design thinking).
  • An interest in technology, both extant and emerging.
  • A second language (and every additional language is a plus!).
