Maintenance Technician (3 shift, West, basic up to $3100)

Job Description:

• US MNC
• 3 shifts, 8 hours per shift (7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, 11pm to 7am), Monday to Friday
• Location: West, transport provided in Pioneer, Jurong West, and Boon Lay areas
• Housing allowance: $350 per month for Work permit holder
• Basic Salary: up to $3100

Role and Responsibilities

1. Equipment Maintenance:
   1. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repair a variety of equipment including mechanical and electrical systems.
   2. Diagnose and troubleshoot a range of basic to complex problems and implement appropriate solutions to restore equipment functionality.
   3. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements.
   4. Perform preventive maintenance work assigned.
2. Facility Upkeep:
   1. Monitor and maintain building systems such as lighting and security systems.
   2. Conduct regular inspections of the facility, identifying safety hazards and cleanliness concerns.
   3. Perform basic to complex repairs and adjustments to maintain a safe and well-maintained working environment.
3. Safety and Compliance:
   1. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks to ensure the safety of oneself and others.
   2. Collaborate with relevant departments to address safety and compliance concerns promptly.
4. Equipment Installation and Calibration:
   1. Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment, machinery, or systems.
   2. Calibrate and fine-tune equipment to ensure accurate operation and optimal performance.
   3. Support basic to intermediate process modification and projects.
5. Inventory Management:
   1. Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for routine maintenance and repairs.
   2. Work with the maintenance inventory and facility team to order and restock supplies as needed to minimize downtime.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
   1. Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to address complex maintenance issues and projects.
   2. Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and management regarding maintenance status, updates, and recommendations.
7. Training and Development:
   1. Provide training for new and unskilled technicians.
   2. Mentor and train junior technicians.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum O level or equivalent; diploma/certificate or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
• Flexibility to work on-call or during off-hours, if necessary.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, familiar with CMMS.
• English; ability to communicate in Chinese or other languages is a plus.
• Good report writing skills.
• Proactive work attitude.
