Job description

JOB SUMMARY

To lead a team of facilities technicians to maintain the factory building, its surrounding premises, production plant service including preventive maintenance and upgrading of facility equipment and electrical services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for preventive and routine maintenance; overhaul and modification of building and production equipment; emergency repair of buildings, equipment and utility systems.
  2. Assumes responsibility for complete in-house janitorial service, security service and ground maintenance.
  3. Assumes responsibility for site environmental compliance programs.
  4. Assures all Federal, State and Local permits are obtained and continue current.
  5. Acts as liaison to public utility, environmental and energy agencies.
  6. Assures that all electrical, mechanical and construction work is performed in conformance with applicable codes and regulations.
  7. Assumes responsibility of Safety Officer. Assures that each employee is formally trained in safety, which includes knowledge of hazards and protective measures required to prevent injury or illness.
  8. Establish and maintain the building's operational flexibility. Evaluate and carry out improvements for higher operational efficiency in plant utilities.
  9. Responsible for all electrical safety.
  10. Plan and ensure monthly budget accuracy.
  11. Plan, coordinate and ensure all facilities works compliance with required specifications, regulatory requirement, quality of work and safety standards.
  12. Support and assist the Functional Manager with day to day activities.
  13. Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of facilities operations in terms of cost, performance and efficiency.
  14. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Strong knowledge of facility management software and building management systems.
  2. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance practices.
  3. Knowledge of project management principles to oversee renovations, repairs, and facility improvements.
  4. Awareness of sustainable practices and energy efficiency measures in facility management.
  5. Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous improvement and cost reduction programs.
  6. Strong and convincing communication skills.
  7. Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent is usually required.
  2. A degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or a related field is often preferred.
  3. Plus 4 - 7 years related experience in facilities management.
  4. Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
