POSITION 1 : MAINTENANCE MANAGER / MNC / BOON LAY

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of employees engaged in chemical production plant support in the functions of central maintenance, utilities supply (steam, electricity, water, air, nitrogen and others), treatment of incoming water, pretreatment of waste waters, and engineering stores.
  • Develops programs, procedures and practices to encourage employees to work safely in an environmentally responsible manner to achieve quality results at acceptable cost levels.
  • Participates in safety, health, and environmental continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepares budgets and monitors expenses.
  • Plans, coordinates and oversees annual plant and boiler shutdown activities.
  • Provides technical support for maintenance functions for central maintenance.
  • Manages the Company Reliability Program.
  • Provides advisory support to the plant-engineering group.
  • Maintains plant engineering standards and compliance.
  • Drives the cultural changes necessary for the organization.
  • Resolves personnel conflicts and ensures customer satisfaction.
  • Develops systems and uses applicable tools to improve understanding of maintenance costs and utility measures relative to overall goals of reliability.
  • Oversees the daily operation of the utilities systems for the site.
  • Inspects and troubleshoots equipment as needed, including steam boiler internals.
  • Manages engineering stores functions to properly support plant needs, including maintenance material and contracting needs, process material needs, raw material purchasing, and physical inventory.
  • Other projects/duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Other Disciplines.
  • Min 6-8 years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience in Chemical Manufacturing - Budget Management, PLC Troubleshooting and Repair & Process Improvement.

POSITION 2 : SENIOR MAINTENANCE MANAGER / MNC / JURONG ISLAND / TRANSPORT PROVIDED

Responsibilities:

  • Management of annual/specific Project and Maintenance activities/budgets (both Mechanical and E&I) throughout fiscal year to achieve department goals.
  • Ensuring that the relevant maintenance strategies as well as industry best practices are applied to the activities for maintenance and modifications in the plant so as to achieve reliability and availability of plant equipment of the highest level.
  • Ensures all plant and equipment is maintained to the highest level of safety for work to avoid lost time accidents, with immediate response and thorough investigations and corrective actions for all hazardous occurrences and accidents.
  • Ensure all Mechanical and E&I maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with the Company’s HSEQ Standards, statutory requirements, Company Maintenance & Management System and best industry maintenance practices.
  • Ensuring that there are adequate procedures and systems put in place for maintenance activities conducted within the process plant.
  • Oversee all facilities planning and operations/functions including the maintenance, modification control of equipment, space allocation, move and construction.
  • Works with counterparts in parent and subsidiary companies on technology transfers to raise maintenance performance standards.
  • Line management responsibility for Maintenance team members.
  • Approval of all work requests for equipment maintenance and modifications related to improvements and safety of process and plant.
  • Approval of requisition for new equipment and maintenance spares.
  • Approval of Contractors’ daily timesheets.
  • Approval of the daily maintenance activities and modifications in the plant.
  • Approval of grade change maintenance activities, in consultation with production department.
  • Planning and managing the shutdown maintenance.
  • Provide training needs of Maintenance team members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and competencies to carry out their work in an efficient manner.
  • Assessment and review of in-house contractors’ performance and the contract.
  • Undertakes special assignments or projects as directed by the Manufacturing Director.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering.
  • Experience in the chemical industry in Singapore as Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Experience and knowledge about maintenance of mechanical rotating equipment and static facilities.
  • Experience as E&I Process/Maintenance Engineer at chemical plant or manufacturing facility.
