Maintenance Engineering Assistant Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Department: Maintenance Engineering

Reports to: Department Manager

Functional relationships:

- Maintenance Engineering in Japan factories

- Rationalization & Machineries Investment in Japan factories

POSITION PROFILE:
This position is to drive for improvement and rationalization activities of manufacturing equipment with in-depth knowledge and experience in MLCC manufacturing processes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Policy, strategy alignment and coordination of project by collaborating with Japan HQ or other group company in Japan.
• Initiate periodical meeting with Japan HQ or other group company to solve problems in own Division.
• Improve reliability of MLCC manufacturing equipment.
• Propel cost down activities through the rationalization of production lines and equipment.
• The window person between MES and Japan factories for the transfer of knowledge, technologies and equipment.
• Be a leader in the improvement activities and operations of the maintenance team.
• Organize and provide technical training to local engineers.

Ability/Competency required:

• Possess Master’s Degree in Engineering or Science field.
• At least 8 years working experience in MLCC manufacturing industry.
• Fluent in Japanese and English language skills to liaise with Japan and Singapore factories.
• Strong logical thinking, analytical skill and good engineering sense.
• Strong mind-set for change and improvement.
• Proactive attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills.
