The M&E Manager (Data Centers) is responsible for the full coordination of M&E services; lead our own in-house M&E Coordinators, BIM Team and supervisors in ensuring smooth installation and well maintenance of the project.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and manage the mechanical and electrical (M&E) aspects of data center construction projects from inception to completion.
Involve in project management and oversee contract administration of project in particular to M&E Scope.
Identify critical design and delivery challenges, solutions, or risks and provide technical support and assistance related to data center construction and M&E system infrastructure.
Ensure the appropriate design, installation, and commissioning of M&E systems, overseeing coordination and supervision with the subcontractors and client nominated data center vendors.
Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment of project objectives and execution strategies.
Prepare and manage the project work schedule to track progress and ensure timely delivery, installation, and commissioning work completion from the start to DC Ready For Service (RFS).
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, monitor progress, and provide regular updates to senior management, stakeholders, and clients.
Lead regular meetings with domestic subcontractors and client-engaged contractors to monitor their progress and address any scope discrepancies. Manage interfaces with client and consultant representatives, local authorities, and interface contractors.
Execute value engineering proposals in design.
Knowledge in BIM for design coordination.
Job Requirements
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from recognized university.
At least 10 years of relevant MEP work experience with A1 Main Contractor.
Have gone through 3 to 4 full cycles of various building projects, preferably with at least 1 full cycle in Data Center projects.
Possess relevant experience in M&E project management, preferably within data center or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Understand and participate in the implementation of Virtual Design Construction (VDC) concepts.
