1. Lead the MEP design development and coordination meetings.
2. Review and coordinate design drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
3. Perform and implement value engineering proposals on the design.
4. Control and guide all MEP subordinates, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers.
5. Handle all submittals including shop drawings, material & systems, and method statements.
6. Interface management with the client and consultant representatives, local authorities, and interface contractors.
7. Monitor the site progress and lead the construction team to ensure proper implementation on site in compliance with project schedule, quality standards, codes, and local regulations.
8. Identify bottlenecks and resolve technical problems in design and construction.
9. Resolve all correspondences related to the MEP discipline.
10. Resolve the Engineer’s Instructions issued by the client and related variations.
11. Coordinate between MEP disciplines and all other project disciplines.
12. Guide the QA/QC MEP team for proper installations & material inspections.
13. Handle testing, commissioning, start-up, and handing over to the client.
14. Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
15. Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements.
16. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
17. Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency.
18. Oversee facility refurbishment and renovations if necessary.
19. Implement best practice processes to increase efficiency.
20. Obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers if necessary.
21. Conduct M&E coordination meetings & site walks with subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
22. Plan and ensure works in accord with Master Programme and micro-schedule.
- Recognized degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 7 years of M&E experience in building construction in Singapore.
