Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The main responsibilities for the Retail Supervisor are to coach, train and manage the retail store assigned according to the Lagardere Travel Retail standard and to create a positive shopping experience by coaching Retail Teams in identifying customers’ needs, advising and selling them products through exemplary customer service.

  1. DRIVING SALES TARGETS AND KPIs
  • Responsible for assisting Retail Managers to manage the team roster and planning according to business needs.
  • Responsible for daily store operations management, achieving store sales target/KPIs and ensuring the team delivers a great service experience to all customers.
  • Assist the Retail Manager in disciplinary actions while managing the team with respect.
  • Reinforce any coaching/training received by the team to ensure sound product knowledge, understanding of any brand guidelines including up-selling, as well as briefing of any company / CAG promotions and mechanics.

2. CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Ensure exemplary customer service standards are achieved and maintained by Retail team members, aligned with our OSCAR standard.
  • Offer exemplary coaching in product knowledge to Retail Teams to assist customers with their buying decisions.
  • Handle customers’ feedback and queries in a professional manner according to the company policy and CAG’s refund policy.

3. CASH MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure team members complete each customer transaction in a professional, timely manner and with the highest level of respect.
  • Ensure accuracy in the collection of money in various modes of payment.
  • Ensure sufficient supply of float and that safe counts are done daily.
  • Conduct random POS checks during shifts and identify and investigate variances, if any.
  • Ensure daily submission of bank-in slips to the finance department.

4. MERCHANDISING & STOCK MANAGEMENT

  • Maintain high standards of overall store presentation and ensure that follow-up actions are taken where necessary and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain high merchandising standards as per VM/Brand guidelines.
  • Ensure all POS/VM materials and other collaterals being displayed at the shop floor are up-to-date and displayed according to our VM standards.
  • Assist Retail Managers in the execution of stock counts, leading team members when stock counts are being conducted.
  • Investigate any stock variances.

5. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members on products, systems and operational matters.
  • Ensure team members receive clear communication with regards to sales targets, KPIs and all relevant promotional/marketing activities.
  • Ensure team members follow the company policies and procedures.
  • Provide constructive feedback or raise any callouts regarding staff performance to the Retail Manager.

6. LOSS PREVENTION

  • Be attentive to all customers and pay special attention to any suspicious customer behaviour.
  • Carry out shop surveillance as required.
  • Keep high-priced items in well-supervised areas and assist the Retail Manager to ensure stock counts are conducted accurately.
  • Report loss prevention issues to the Retail Manager and ensure that an incident report form is completed when required.

7. OTHERS

  • Support any store initiatives, e.g., stock take, store change, etc.
  • Support Management in Events management as assigned.
  • Responsible for the retail commission worksheet for the retail manager’s approval.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted within the deadline set.
  • Any other ad hoc duties assigned.

PROFILE & COMPETENCIES

  • Candidates who are eligible to work in Singapore are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum GCE “O” Level with at least 5 years of relevant experience in high-end fashion/luxury industry or in a similar capacity.
  • Comfortable working in Changi Airport on retail shift hours, including weekends and public holidays (5 workdays per week).
  • Passion for the retail industry with good selling skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional spoken languages are a plus.
  • A good team player with a pleasant personality.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Possess basic computer skills.
