The role of the Logistics Technician is to effectively and efficiently execute the logistics operations for receipt, storage and issue of raw materials, engineering spares, consumables, process related goods and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API). All these operations are to be carried safely, meeting quality requirements and in accordance with established current Good Manufacturing Practices, Group and Local Standard Operating Procedures.
The Logistics Technician will also be required to carry out improvement projects as part of their development.
Responsibilities
To handle the proper receipt and issuance of raw materials, engineering spares and consumables, and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) to support operational requirements.
To arrange with the respective departments on stock materials received which require quality control inspection and to provide assistance where necessary.
Co-ordinate with Value Stream on replenishment of nonprocess materials for Production Campaigns.
Co-ordinate scrap metal collection and management.
To report immediately any discrepancies, damages and loss of stock materials upon receipt or in storage for the purpose of claims, investigation and rectification.
To maintain good inventory records of all raw materials and packaging materials and the proper upkeep of all documentation in full compliance with cGMP requirements.
To maintain a high standard of housekeeping of the warehouse and material handling equipment being assigned to.
To maintain a high standard of security and access to the Warehouses for the purpose of safe custody of stock materials.
To be well versed with and in full compliance with the established cGMP, GSOP and SOP requirements.
To be actively involved in the Departmental Safety and GMP Audit.
Manage returns of raw materials, engineering spares and consumables from production and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) from customers.
Any other duties as assigned by the Logistics Lead / Logistics Manager, Logistics Supervisors and Logistics Leader.
To supervise and train personnel under his charge.
To monitor on a daily basis the stock levels of all bulk solvent storage tanks and to liaise with Material Planner for its replenishment expeditiously. (Applicable to Senior Logistics Technician handling raw materials)
Management of identified obsolescence stock.
To ensure management of GXP spares receipt & storage processes, and shelf life items management process.
