Job description

On behalf of one of its clients, a leading specialist in gas logistics, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Logistics & Customer Officer.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will work independently as part of a dynamic and supportive team. As part of an international group, you will be able to develop locally or internationally.

With over 20 years of presence across six continents, the hiring company specializes in transportation and storage solutions for gases such as hydrogen, oxygen, and argon.

Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, the candidate will manage a portfolio of international clients, with a particular focus on Asia, East Africa, and the Pacific Islands.

With a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, the candidate will oversee the order process from initiation to payment collection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing existing clients in collaboration with the Sales Manager.
  • Monitoring container availability across logistics platforms in Europe, Singapore, and China.
  • Planning and optimizing logistics flows.
  • Coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping companies, and clients.
  • Preparing export sales documentation.
  • Handling orders and invoices.
  • Coordinating level 1 and level 2 maintenance operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, ideally in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Logistics & Supply Chain Knowledge: experience or knowledge in planning and optimizing logistics flows. Familiarity with managing container availability across multiple logistics platforms. Ability to coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping companies, and clients.
  • Export Documentation: competence in preparing export sales documents and handling international trade requirements.
  • Order & Invoice Management: experience in processing and managing orders and invoices accurately.
  • Maintenance Coordination: basic knowledge of maintenance operations (level 1 and 2 coordination).
  • Software and Tools: proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and familiarity with logistics or supply chain management systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).
  • Strong commitment to client satisfaction and the ability to build and maintain relationships with international customers.
  • Communication Skills: clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactivity and Problem-Solving: ability to take initiative, anticipate challenges, and propose solutions to optimize processes and resolve issues.
  • Organizational Skills: strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, international environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively with a small, dynamic team and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
  • Capability to work autonomously, solve problems creatively, and handle challenges with minimal supervision.
