Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts, ensuring compliance with Singapore laws and regulations.
Compliance and Risk Assessment: Ensure the company complies with relevant laws and regulations, including personal data protection (PDPA) and employment laws.
Legal Advisory: Provide legal advice to internal teams to support business decisions and minimise risks.
Dispute Resolution: Assist in managing disputes, including negotiations, mediations, and liaising with external counsel if necessary.
Corporate Governance: Support the company in maintaining proper corporate governance practices, including regulatory filings and maintaining statutory records.
Legal Documentation: Prepare and manage legal documents, policies, and procedures, ensuring accessibility and organisation.
Training and Updates: Provide training to internal teams on legal and compliance matters and stay updated on changes in regulations that may affect the business.
Requirements:
Educational Background: A degree in Law (LLB or equivalent). Admission to the Singapore Bar is a plus but not mandatory.
Language Proficiency: Proficient in both English and Chinese, with the ability to draft and review documents in both languages.
Experience : 1–3 years of legal experience, preferably in corporate law, compliance, or a similar in-house role. Experience with SMEs or start-ups is a bonus.
Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of Singapore laws, including contract law, corporate law, and PDPA regulations.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a business-friendly manner.
Attention to Detail: Highly meticulous with the ability to identify and mitigate potential legal risks.
Tech Savvy: Comfortable using legal tech tools and proficient in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in sectors like technology, e-commerce, or software.
Knowledge of cross-border transactions and international business law
Familiarity with regulatory bodies in Singapore, such as ACRA and MOM.
