Who We Need

Job summary:

As Legal Counsel, and reporting to the Head of Legal, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and counsel to management, as well as supporting the business and operational units of the hospital. You will play a key role in ensuring that legal considerations are integrated into business decisions and help navigate legal challenges.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Provision of general legal advice to management and various departments of the hospital.
  • Vetting, structuring and drafting a varied range of contracts and other legal documentation, including contracts pertaining to the provision and purchase of goods and services, collaborations, employment, construction, and IT matters.
  • Liaison with external counsel for legal opinions and advice as and when required.

How to Succeed

  • LL.B degree and called to the Singapore Bar.
  • More than 5 years post-qualification experience, gained either at a law firm or in an in-house legal role.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector or litigation is preferred.
  • A responsible team player and self-starter, with drive, initiative, and perseverance in the delivery of quality work.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Sound business acumen with an analytical mind, capable of providing practical legal solutions that align with the hospital’s operational goals.
  • Have an eye for details, with sound legal knowledge and the ability to produce clear and precise legal drafts.
  • Ability to evaluate legal implications and collaborate with business and operational colleagues to develop practical solutions.
