Legal Counsel (min 7 PQE), Intellectual Property & Licensing – High Growth MNC

Company Overview:

Our client is a high-growth company with a global presence, known for its innovation and dynamic work environment. With an established and collaborative legal team, they are now looking to expand their in-house capabilities with the addition of a Legal Counsel focused on intellectual property (IP) and licensing matters. This is a newly created position, offering significant scope for career growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide expert legal advice on intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
2. Lead on licensing agreements and negotiate IP-related contracts with third parties.
3. Manage the protection, enforcement, and strategy of the company’s global IP portfolio.
4. Collaborate with the R&D, product, and commercial teams to support innovation and ensure IP protection.
5. Provide counsel on compliance with relevant IP laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
6. Handle disputes and litigation related to intellectual property matters.
7. Support the broader legal team on general corporate legal matters when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Minimum 7 PQE, with a preference for candidates with more experience.
2. Strong expertise in intellectual property law, particularly in managing IP portfolios and handling licensing agreements.
3. Proven ability to handle complex IP issues in a global context.
4. Experience working in a high-growth or multinational company is preferred.
5. Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
