Legal Audio Transcriber (Freelance/project basis)

The Opportunity

• Work in a reputable worldwide provider of legal and business services.
• Working commitment: Freelance basis (Candidates will be informed 2 weeks to 1 month in advance for their commitment).
• Location: Central.
• 1-year contract (can renew/convert).
• Up to $40-$50 per hour (depending on recordings duration).

The Talent

• Candidate with prior law background (Studies/Work) experience is preferred.
• Excellent command of English vocabulary and grammar.
• Exceptional hearing and comprehension skills are a must.
• Minimum Diploma/GCE A level in any discipline.

Job Description

• Proofread all transcripts prior to submission.
• Produce high-quality transcripts in accordance with delivery deadlines.
• Utilize all available supporting information to ensure accurate transcription.
• Ensure glossaries are kept up to date.
• Undertake cross-training on a variety of jurisdictions as directed by the business.
• Maintain familiarity with various audio playback platforms such as Liberty, FTR, and VIQ.
• Maintain close communication with other transcribers and the Transcript Manager/Coordinator.
• Maintain close communication with the Monitoring team, providing constructive feedback on audio quality/logs when necessary.
• Action any feedback provided by the QA Lead Analyst or Transcript Manager in relation to quality or productivity.
