Legal Advisor

We are looking for a Legal Advisor with a strong focus on contracts to support our business operations and strategic growth. This role will work very closely with the Group CEO, providing key legal guidance on contract management, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will have experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, with an understanding of financial services or technology-driven industries. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level legal professional to gain hands-on experience and contribute to high-level business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including agreements with financial institutions, technology vendors, and corporate partners.
• Support contract compliance with business objectives and risk management policies.
• Conduct initial assessments of client-facing agreements, ensuring alignment with regulatory and licensing requirements.
• Identify and highlight contractual risks, working with senior legal professionals to implement mitigation strategies.
• Assist in maintaining a contract management framework to track obligations and streamline contract processes.
• Work closely with the Group CEO to provide legal insights on key contracts and strategic agreements.
• Offer legal support to internal teams, ensuring contracts align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in ensuring contractual compliance across multiple jurisdictions in financial services and fintech operations.
• Conduct legal research on evolving regulatory requirements and their impact on contracts and business operations.
• Support external legal counsel engagements and regulatory interactions as needed.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Compliance, and other key departments to support contract-related initiatives.
• Assist in structuring and reviewing agreements related to client fund management, vendor partnerships, and financial services.
• Help develop training materials and provide guidance to internal teams on contract best practices.
• Support the implementation of legal tech solutions to enhance contract management efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent. A Master’s in Law (LLM) or additional legal qualifications are a plus.
• 2-5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably with exposure to contracts, commercial law, or financial services regulations.
• Experience with contract drafting, review, and negotiation in a corporate or legal firm setting.
• Strong understanding of contract law, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex contracts and provide practical legal advice.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with financial services, fintech, or regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
• Experience with legal tech solutions or contract management tools is a plus.
