[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Banking & Finance in the School of Business & Accountancy.
[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop, prepare and update teaching materials as well as associated assessments and conduct lectures, tutorials and workshops.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, and actively network with industry professionals to collaborate on student projects and enhance learning opportunities.
Set and mark assessments related to the module(s) assigned and keep records of student attendance and grades.
Support student learning and development through student consultations and mentoring for both PET and CET learners.
Be required to take on committee portfolio and ad-hoc projects that support the school’s mission.
Perform academic and administrative duties.
Lead student overseas trips.
[What we are looking for]
At least 3 years’ relevant industry experience. Prior teaching experience will be an advantage.
A nurturing mindset with passion for working with young adults and mature learners.
Ability to use innovative teaching and learning strategies and a passion for working with and motivating learners.
Working experience or competency in banking and/or finance and/or analytics, and/or sustainable finance and/or risk and compliance and/or wealth management.
Competent to plan, develop and teach finance or finance-related modules and manage collaborative initiatives with industry partners.
Ability to manage and support multiple projects independently as well as in a team setting.
