Job description

The Leasing and Sales Manager is a go-getter! Being well-connected in-market, they know the right people, or how to find the right person. Responsible for driving performance across our Rental, Leasing and Chauffeur Drive business lines, this leader will leave no stone unturned in order to achieve their KPIs. Ensuring their team is adequately trained, coached and consistently performing to a high standard, this person will inject an optimistic, fun culture to our young team! The Leasing and Sales Manager will have a detailed understanding of the functionality and purpose of the Avis Budget fleet, ensuring that all team members are subject matter experts in all our fleet makes and models. This role would best suit a senior salesperson who is looking for their first managerial position.

  • Contribute to, and execute, an annual portfolio business plan aligned with company goals.
  • Implement a solid Sales Process; train and coach the team to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure monthly reviews of performance versus KPI’s are conducted for all team members and develop training to mitigate shortfalls.
  • Prospect and develop opportunities within the Singapore market to meet sales targets across all business lines.
  • Build and manage key relationships to elevate Avis Budget SG's market profile.
  • Explore opportunities in emerging domestic travel markets and work with the out-of-country sales teams to exploit opportunities.
  • Drive sales growth by managing customer relationships and developing sales strategies.
  • Work with Operations/Fleet managers and internal/external partners to identify, engage and develop sales pipeline and strategy.
  • Drive the team within the Leasing and Sales department to improve revenue growth within their portfolios.
  • Recommend pricing structures with Management and be an expert negotiator to win business.
  • Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Report monthly against targets set, commenting on variances, problems, opportunities, competitor activity and items of industry interest.
  • Proactively identify trends in the corporate sector, and opportunities or risks for Avis Budget’s business.
  • Work with operations manager and company trainers to ensure that customer service levels meet or exceed company standards for this sector.
  • Provide market insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to APAC regional account development and company culture.
  • Monitor market changes and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Other duties as required.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in account management with a track record of revenue growth.

  • Experience in developing team performance through sales training, objection handling, and coaching.
  • A methodically routine approach to pipeline management and sales processes.
  • Proven, well-established, diverse network of clients across Singapore.
  • Ability to identify and engineer business opportunities through a tenacious attitude.
  • Independent, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Creative problem-solver with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic about improvement and innovation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, varied environment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification is highly regarded.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general computer skills.
  • Valid driver's licence and good driving record
