Reporting to Regional L&D Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for:

Training initiatives:

  1. Design, develop, implement & assess training initiatives to ensure content is up to date and reflects best practice.
  2. Ensure that the content is aligned with company practices and processes.
  3. Research and propose blended training solutions.
  4. Assess career pathways in line with development and recommend individuals identified with high potential.
  5. Drive development pathways and traineeships.
  6. Engage with external consultants and specialists as required.
  7. Deliver the core curriculum, training calendar, and customised programs as scheduled.
  8. Serve as a Learning and Development Executive/Trainer on key projects, cross-functional teams, and group rollouts.

Business solutions:

  1. Consult, recommend, design interventions, and execute business solutions where required.
  2. Ensure adherence to industry and government regulatory standards.
  3. Identify and improve operational systems & processes.
  4. Research and recommend best practices or international standards that drive AFG and M&S vision.
  5. Ensure delivery metrics are adhered to.

Consulting:

  1. Identify Learning and Development needs within the company for specific business units.
  2. Manage internal & external customer expectations regarding assessment practices & reporting.
  3. Consult with businesses to provide solutions and options, measuring customer satisfaction.
  4. Prepare proposals & quotations in line with business plan objectives.
  5. Work inclusively with HR Business Partners, business Executive/Trainers, Line Managers, and Executives to deliver, gain agreement, share workloads, and meet expectations.

Communication:

  1. Communicate recommended solutions to the business to gain buy-in and approval.
  2. Ensure all AFG businesses and key stakeholders are aware of the M&S products & services.
  3. Utilise tools and resources to discover training needs or assess capability standards.

Reports:

  1. Maintain systems for collating and reporting on Learning and Development records/feedback for all employees in Singapore.
  2. Manage & analyse the Learning & Development performance.
  3. Collate and report performance metrics.
  4. Ensure key stakeholders have up-to-date reports.
  5. Provide training delivery days and feedback data.

Projects:

  1. Manage projects to meet key objectives.
  2. Lead or partner with Regional L&D Manager, Asia for business-specific projects as required.
  3. Ensure project KPIs are met and exceeded.

Education:

  1. A bachelor’s degree and/or relevant training certificates.

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:

  1. Fluent written and spoken English (speaking Chinese and Bahasa will be an advantage).
  2. Training curriculum/program design experience.
  3. Knowledge of competency standards.
  4. Knowledge of assessment design and delivery.
  5. Program/on-job coaching facilitation experience.
  6. A high level of computer literacy.
  7. Experience of blended learning.
  8. Business operations, project management, and customer service experience would be a big plus.
