Lead R&D Scientist (Advanced Materials)

Our client is a global leader in advanced materials and adhesive technologies, currently expanding their R&D footprint in Singapore. The local team focuses on developing next-generation adhesive solutions for high-performance industrial applications.

1. Develop and optimize adhesive formulations for industrial use (e.g., automotive, electronics, manufacturing).
2. Lead R&D projects in the area of smart bonding and debonding systems.
3. Conduct lab-based testing (peel strength, durability, rheology, chemical resistance) and performance validation.
4. Contribute to technology roadmaps, intellectual property, and continuous innovation pipelines.

1. Master’s or PhD in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Materials Engineering, or related field.
2. 5–10 years of experience in adhesives, coatings, or functional materials R&D.
3. Strong knowledge of polymer systems such as PSA, PU, epoxy resins; water-based adhesive experience is a plus.
4. Hands-on lab experience in adhesive formulation and testing methodologies.
