Lead Quality Engineer

Lead Quality Engineer – Oil & Gas (Offshore, Singapore)

We are looking for an experienced Lead Quality Engineer to join a high-performing team in the offshore Oil & Gas sector. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, coordinating, and executing quality assurance activities in line with project requirements. You will work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams to ensure quality standards are met and compliance is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan, ensuring alignment with the Project Execution Plan.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to project teams to maintain quality standards.
• Establish and maintain project-specific processes, including planning and executing audits.
• Lead internal quality meetings and ensure effective communication across all project stakeholders.
• Support the Project Quality Manager in coordinating project quality activities.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Degree preferred).
• CSWIP/AWS certification – Mandatory.
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Quality Auditor certification – Mandatory.
• NDE Level III/II or NACE Level II certification – Preferred.
• PMP certification – Advantageous.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas offshore sector (preferably FPSO projects).
• Strong understanding of project management, quality assurance, and quality control.
• Familiarity with international material standards, pressure/process piping & vessel codes, and structural/electrical codes.
• Experience in welding inspection, NDT methods, and ASME/ANSI codes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation.
