At Marketnode, we operate two flagship platforms:
- Gateway: an end-to-end platform encompassing data, workflow, tokenization, and asset servicing.
- Fundnode: a one-stop funds settlement infrastructure for transaction management, funds processing, and record-keeping.
Having recently closed our Series A investment with major financial institutions such as HSBC, Marketnode is now well positioned for its next growth phase and is looking for a Lead Engineer, QA to lead our overall QA strategy and implementation for all our products.

Key responsibilities:
- QA Strategy & Planning:
- Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy for both manual and automated testing across various fintech applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product management, and operations) to create test plans, define test cases, and ensure full test coverage.
- Set quality standards and best practices for the QA team and broader engineering organization.
- Automation Leadership:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of test automation frameworks, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Drive the adoption of test automation in areas such as regression, integration, and performance/load/capacity testing.
- Evaluate and integrate new automation tools and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
- Test Execution & Reporting:
- Manage the execution of test plans, including functional, non-functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Oversee defect management, including tracking, reporting, and prioritizing issues in collaboration with development teams.
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable test reports and metrics to stakeholders.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Mentor and guide QA engineers in best practices, automation techniques, and problem-solving approaches.
- Work closely with the engineering and product teams to ensure alignment between QA efforts and business goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team, encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and product quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools in QA and test automation, ensuring that Marketnode remains at the cutting edge of quality assurance.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in engineering/software quality assurance, with 5+ in QA automation.
- 5+ years leading QA teams or projects in a high-paced, agile environment, preferably in fintech or a similar industry.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in building and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, etc.).
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Knowledge of testing RESTful APIs and working with tools like Postman or REST-Assured.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team of QA engineers.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A track record of driving quality improvements and process optimizations.
- Proven ability to work directly with customer/external stakeholders to facilitate industry-wide test scenarios.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
