• Perform CNC programming and setting of CNC lathe machines using CAM software.
• Perform 3D and multi-axis machine programming.
• Check materials and tools required to perform programming.
• Set parameters (feed rate, speed, etc.) according to materials and tools selection to achieve optimum speed.
• Perform progressive machining operations for precision components / parts.
• Conduct machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Perform detailed machining process plans and estimate cycle times.
• Provide technical support for daily manufacturing processes including the design jigs and fixtures, and undertake other duties as assigned by the Senior Production Manager.
• NITEC/Higher NITEC/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in Mechatronics/Precision Engineering.
• Preferably 3 to 5 years’ experience in setting up and operating CNC lathes.
• Experience programming for multi-axis operations.
• Understanding of tooling criteria, machining applications and process documentation.
• Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM programming.
• Conventional machining experience is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of machining processes and fabrication.
• Knowledge and understanding of raw material specifications.
• Ability to effectively interpret technical drawings and possess strong knowledge of GD&T.
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, highly resourceful and organized.
• Strong command of English.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word).
