Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with research scientists and engineers to support R&D projects in advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Identify and recommend appropriate characterization techniques, test standards, and methodologies for projects.
• Perform sample preparation, equipment operation, data collection, and reporting for metallurgical analysis, materials characterization, and measurement.
• Operate and maintain analytical and test equipment, such as cross-section polishers, optical microscopes with image processing software, mechanical testers, profilometers, and spectrometers.
• Manage lab operations and ensure day-to-day activities run smoothly.
• Maintain lab equipment in good working condition and ensure lab consumables are adequately stocked and well managed.
• Source and purchase new equipment, modules, and accessories.
• Prepare and update lab safety documents (RA/SWP) and implement and maintain 5S in the lab.
• Provide training and advice for lab equipment users.

Requirements

• Diploma in Materials, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Good communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a positive work and learning attitude.
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
