The successful applicant for this position will be joining the Clinical Development team in Lonza Singapore. The Clinical Development group is responsible for the development and characterization of manufacturing processes used for the production of novel therapeutic recombinant proteins for Lonza’s global client base. The purpose of this role is to support laboratory operation activities in the department to help ensure that the laboratory is a safe, GMP compliant, and efficient place to work.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  1. Adherence to EHS rules and regulations and good laboratory practices according to cGMP and cGDP
  2. Responsible for daily routine operational tasks such as equipment verification, warehouse collection, printing logbooks, etc. in the laboratory. 90% of the time working in the laboratory
  3. Equipment maintenance and daily calibrations
  4. Autoclaving of equipment and manual washing of glassware
  5. Ensure good housekeeping and audit readiness
  6. Coordinating equipment maintenance
  7. Preparation of media, feeds, buffers, and reagents
  8. Purchase and maintain stock levels of consumables and chemicals
  9. Perform EM of water on a monthly basis
  10. Contribute to operational efficiency in the department
  11. Demonstrate flexibility to support other activities within the team/department
  12. Future 6S area owner
  13. Completion and peer review of documents as per GMP requirements

Education and Experience:

  1. Diploma in a relevant Science field
  2. 2-5 years working experience in a laboratory environment
  3. Basic knowledge of routines in a laboratory environment gained through formal training or experience
  4. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other relevant software packages
