Lab Technician - Stability - Your future position?

Location: Pioneer

Reporting to: Application Lab and Technical Lab Manager

As a Lab Technician - Stability, you will be responsible for the stability of fragrance formulations in product base.

Core Responsibilities:

Stability

1. Preparation of product samples, where required
2. Organise stability tests and record results
3. Conduct physical and olfactory testing of samples
4. Research causes of issues and propose and test solutions and technical changes to formulations
5. Assist in the administration of materials and laboratory organization
6. Communication of stability test results internally and to clients
7. Provide technical support to perfumers and development team on areas relating to fragrance stability in product base
8. Prepare fragrance applications in different bases meeting the needs of creative and development teams under guidance, and ensure the quality, precision and accuracy thereof.

Environmental Health & Safety

1. Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment
2. Operate and help maintain standard lab equipment

Academic Background

1. Technical training or Higher Education Qualification in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering or similar subject

Professional Experience

1. Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a lab environment
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Applications
3. Ability to communicate and write in English required

Technical Skills

1. Knowledge of good laboratory practice and safe handling of chemicals
2. Accurate record keeping and attention to detail
3. Chemistry knowledge
4. Perfumery knowledge
5. Understanding of ISO protocols
6. Demonstrated proficiency in Givaudan-specific software applications
7. Knowledge of lab equipment and its safe usage
8. Good communication skills
9. Understanding of EH&S requirements & protocols and laboratory safety practices
