Coordinate and schedule laboratory activities, including analytical testing for customers and support business activities, to ensure a high standard of service in satisfying customers' needs and timeline.
Lead, establish, review and improve laboratory operation planning and procedures for the department to enhance productivity and minimize costs.
Develop control plans / FMEA for laboratory processes and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
Act as the primary interface between laboratory and external contacts (customers, suppliers), related to laboratory operation and liaise with customers/suppliers on technical and quality issues.
Provide lab support for small-scale blending of new formulations to support new businesses.
Ensure the maintenance of ISO9001, ISO18001, ISO14001, SS506, and ISO17025 management system within the laboratory.
Implementation and development of new analytical methods.
Provide troubleshooting support and incident management for laboratory-related matters.
Procurement, inventory, and capitalization of asset management.
Always abide by all EHS rules and regulations.
Support/lead safety, reliability, and productivity-related projects.
Provide sufficient training to lab staff to upkeep the skill set and have flexibility in the team.
Ensure timely transfer of dip tube preventive maintenance program management to the AV-8 operations team.
Lead/participate in projects that are within the scope of lab operations.
Manage capital purchase process for lab metro/equipment upgrades to meet industry standards.
Any other task as assigned.
Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree or Master's in chemistry and chemical engineering.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, of which 5 years of supervisory experience.
