Lab Analyst

Lab analyst is responsible for performing a range of laboratory tasks, including chemical testing, sample preparation, data analysis, and instrument operation.

You will be collaborating with Senior Lab analysts, engineers, and other team members to achieve sample cycle analysis turnover in a timely manner, analysis accuracy objectives, maintain lab equipment, and adhere to safety protocols. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and reliable data for decision-making and compliance.

You will be responsible for maintaining compliance of laboratory activities with Employee Health and Safety (EHS) requirements which includes adhering to all quality and the laboratory's standard operating procedures, including those for calibration and maintenance of equipment and performing routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and instruments.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily analysis of internal and external samples including urgent analysis requirements to support plant product, IPQC, Raw materials samples, onsite plant UPW monitoring. Data key in LIMS, make calculations and interpret test results to determine if process changes are needed.
2. Daily calibration/standard preparation, analytical instrument tuning and performance monitoring, perform maintenance/troubleshooting when necessary and keep track on the parts/consumables.
3. Perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses or chemical experiments in laboratories for quality or process control or to develop new products or processes.
4. Label all chemicals clearly for storage and dispose of chemicals in a safe and responsible manner and adhere to Laboratory Discipline including housekeeping.
5. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all calibrations and maintenance. Manage contractor and vendor for external calibration and preventive maintenance.
6. Actively participate and involve in company safety events and programs.
7. Work with Lab information system, data storage, Coa and reporting.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Lab Manager & Lab Manager.

Requirement:

1. Min. Diploma in Chemistry or chemical-related discipline
2. More than 2 years working experience in the QC Lab of Chemical / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry or Commercial Chemical Test Lab
3. Possess knowledge and experience of more than 2 years in GC gas chromatography, pH measurement, Conductivity, Density, Karl fisher Titration, Acid Base titration and wet Chemistry.
4. Possess some experience competency in laboratory management skills and familiar with laboratory set up.
5. Experience in writing SOP.
6. Possessing skills in method validation and safety-oriented personnel are encouraged to apply.
