Job description

Duties:

He/She is responsible for the sales of PHILIPS branded TV & SOUNDBAR products and commercial partnership also known as Key Account. He/She is tasked to optimize value for PHILIPS product and Key Accounts through building strong sales and by achieving customer intimacy whilst driving operational excellence. Building & maintaining Key account sales & delivering value to end consumers.

Overall, the Key Account Manager plays a critical role in driving sales growth, building strong partnerships with key accounts, optimizing key account online sales channels, and contributing to the overall success of Philips-branded TV and soundbar products in the Singapore market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The primary goal is to set and attain sales targets, focusing on both the value (revenue) and volume (quantity) of products sold, with an aim for continuous growth year-on-year.
  • This involves meeting key performance indicators related to sales performance (both from the company to retailers - "sell in", and from retailers to end customers - "sell out"), managing accounts receivables (ensuring timely payment from customers), maintaining profitability, and optimizing inventory levels.
  • Implementing strategic plans to achieve sales targets, improve distribution channels, increase product visibility, develop product mix, and conduct channel training as necessary.
  • Regularly reviewing business performance and reporting progress to higher management.
  • Following and implementing channel strategies and trade policies set by Country Lead, which may include negotiating trading terms and fostering positive relationships with prospects.
  • Overseeing account management activities and working with the sales manager to expand sales opportunities on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to create sales materials and resources tailored to the target market.
  • Keeping accurate records of sales information and maintaining customer records, and reporting these to the sales manager in a timely manner.
  • Generating sales reports by analyzing and summarizing relevant information such as sales by account and sales forecasts. Also responsible for establishing, maintaining, and updating pricing information and databases.

Job Requirement:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of recent experience in sales and account management, preferably in the consumer electronics industry or related fields.
  • Basic Excel skills for reporting and analysis purposes, essential for generating sales reports, analyzing data, and making informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are necessary for effectively conveying ideas, negotiating deals, and building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage relationships at multiple levels, both internally within the organization and externally with customers and partners.
  • Willingness and ability to work beyond the scope of job responsibilities, demonstrating initiative and adaptability in various situations.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Must possess own transport (class III) is preferable.
