We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Key Account Executive to manage and grow key client relationships in our freight forwarding division.
This role involves handling end-to-end logistics solutions, ensuring smooth operations, and providing exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate will have experience in freight forwarding, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management & Customer Service
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their logistics needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests promptly and professionally.
Freight Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, customer focus, and transportation) to ensure timely shipment deliveries.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing clients with regular updates on their cargo status.
- Work with carriers, shipping lines, and partners to secure competitive rates and service levels.
Sales & Business Development
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services to existing clients.
- Assist in preparing quotations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Support the sales team in developing strategies to retain and expand key accounts.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all shipping documents, invoices, and customs declarations are accurately prepared and processed.
- Stay updated on international trade regulations, customs requirements, and industry best practices.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, shipments, and service performance.
- Provide periodic reports and analysis on account performance and key metrics.
Key Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or key account management.
- Knowledge of ocean, air, and land freight operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and freight management systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
