Junior Software Development TeamLead/ Senior Software Engineer

About the Role:

IDEMIA Public Security, a leader in biometric and augmented identity solutions, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer/ Software Development Tech Lead/ Junior Team Lead who is hands-on to join the Automated Border Control System (ABCS) project. This system integrates advanced technologies like facial recognition, fingerprint, and iris scanning to enhance immigration security and efficiency in Singapore.

As a Software Development Team Lead/ Tech Lead, you will design and build innovative solutions, functionally lead and guide a team of developers, and enhance existing systems to meet evolving requirements for real-world applications.

For this role, the hiring manager is open to accepting senior software developers applicants with a good potential to technically lead a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Functionally lead an agile development team through the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to software architecture and code complex modules.
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and high-performance code using test-driven development (TDD).
• Conduct design and code reviews to ensure performance optimization.
• Provide technical support during system integration, testing, and maintenance phases.
• Mentor and coach software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software development and team leadership.
• Strong skills in Java, JSON, Spring Framework, Angular, NodeJs, and Python.
• Familiarity with open-source technologies like Kubernetes, Kafka, Drools, ElasticStack.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical abilities.
• Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering)
