Lombard Odier Investment Managers (“LOIM”) is the asset management business of the Lombard Odier Group. In order to strengthen our Asia Equity team, we are looking for a Singapore based:

Junior Analyst (6 months, full time internship)

You will be part of the team managing the equity fund Asia High Conviction, supporting them in managing their exposure to equity markets to generate excess return, or “alpha”, for client portfolios.

As a Junior Analyst, your responsibilities could include:

  • Analyse investment opportunities in the Chinese Equities market and in other Asian countries
  • Conduct industry, business and financial due diligence
  • Conduct competitive analyses, peer group analyses and overall market research
  • Construct full-scale company valuation models on various companies, to be presented to the Portfolio Managers
  • Participate in on-going portfolio management including business analysis and exit opportunity assessments
  • Build excel models to forecast sales and profits of potential investments
  • Maintain research databases and processes used to identify investment prospects
  • Industry analysis including primary calls with competitors, customers and suppliers
  • A successful internship will put you at a strong advantage if you later apply to work in any full-time analyst position in the industry, be it on the Buy side or Sell side

We are seeking candidates who display the following characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree 2nd year, preferably in economics or finance
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Pro-active, self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent responsiveness and problem-solving skills
  • Available June until December 2025, full time

Additional requirements / guidelines:

  • This internship is open to students in Singapore who have the relevant residency status to work in Singapore.
  • Expected work horizon is around 6 months

For Foreign Students, the following work pass exemption criteria from the Ministry of Manpower must be fulfilled:

  • ICA Student Pass Holders from a full-time matriculated or registered student in one of the approved institutions are allowed to work without a work pass:
  • During school vacation or while waiting for final examination results or convocation, or
  • During school term provided the internship is under an industrial attachment programme, which can be either compulsory or elective contributing towards your graduation requirements.
